Happy Pink Saturday yall. Recently, my friend Rebecca of Green Gables Lane showed me a stack of post cards saved by her grandmother since the early 1900's. There were several very pretty cards in the stack for Valentine's Day. These are a few of the hundreds she has on hand. I love the sweet little children on these cards. Some of the images are red but may have faded over time. She has these items in her ETSY shop, to see more give her a visit.
And to see the other Valentine goodies for Pink Saturday, visit Ms. Beveraly at How Sweet The Sound. Until next time,
Brenda

I bet those cards are amazing! They just don't make 'em like they used to!

ReplyDeleteHappy Pink Saturday Sweetie...
ReplyDeleteA beautiful share. Love the old Valentine's. I wish the ones they sold today would look more like the old ones. I guess somewhere along the way they too, became commercialized.
Thank you for sharing with me today. Many hugs and much love, Sherry
Very pretty postcards.
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet post - I adore vintage postcards. Sorry I'm late visiting, I was teaching yesterday (Saturday) and we've been out for Valentine's lunch today (Sunday) so only just started blog-hopping! Happy Pink Weekend, and hugs from the UK.
ReplyDeleteHELLO DEAR BRENDA~HAVE A WONDERFUL VALENTINES DAY WITH ALL YOUR LOVE ONES :)
ReplyDeleteXOXO~MARI
The older cards are nicer to me than some of then new ones. I loved seeing these.
ReplyDeleteThank you for posting my vintage postcards! I also am finding absolute charm to the oldies! They have so much character!! I recently read that there are much less postcards after 1914, because everyone got tired of the mailman knowing their business, and started buying cards to mail in sealed envelopes. (It cost a bit more for the card and the postage, but no one knew their business if it was sealed!) LOL! Thanks again for including my vintage valentines on your blog/Pink Saturday!
