Painting with Mary Wiseman

What a fun weekend!! I have wanted to paint with Mary for a long time and finally I got to do just that. Mary is a beautiful painter and I loved her technique of highlighting before you shade. I am not very good at painting fruit, this is probably only my third attempt but I think I like it. My hubby likes it too and wants me to hang on to this one. This is painted on an 8"x24" canvas. Since the fruit were only going to be about a 5" square, I marked off 8" squares and with a little bit of shading, made it look as though each fruit was in it's own frame. Probably will do a bit more rouging on the "frames" but for right now I am glad it is finished. Check out Mary's website at www.marywiseman.com.
