If it stands still long enough, paint it

I don't like wasting my paint even though I have hundreds of bottles of acrylic paint. If it is on my palette, I plan to use it. With just a little left on my palette several days ago, I was looking for something small to paint - right in front of me I saw my palette knife and my stylus. I have two palette knives that are my favorites - one I had painted some time ago but this was going to be painted with the fuschia color paint I had on the palette. So, I have attached a photo - even though it is not very clear - of both the knife and stylus - rendering true the saying " if it stands still long enough, I will paint it".

  7. Hi Brenda, Beautiful. A stylus and palette knife never looked better. I can so relate to using paint wisely and finding one last thing to stroke in on. I, like you, will paint anything that doesn't move.
How was the Houston Art Show? Did you have fun and find so new ideas?
See you again soon. Have a great week and happy painting.

  10. Hello,
It's so nice to meet you! I really appreciate the sweet B-day wishes and kind visit to my blog. You're always welcome. ~Happy Birthday to you as well!

I see we have much in common as I am from NW Florida! My husband and I met while he was in flight school in Pensacola. We were neighbors and got married at "Skopelos" over ten years ago. My parents and most of my family are living in Panama City. My Dad is retired AF. Small world!

Your blog is wonderful. I'll be back to visit you often.

    Have a blessed evening.
    ~Warmly, Melissa :)

    PS I miss Florida!
