Pink Saturday
Welcome to Pink Saturday,
How quickly Saturdays roll around!! First, let me thank Ms. Beverly for hosting Pink Saturday and for giving us all a chance to show off our wonderful pinkness. You can visit everyone who participates by clicking on "Pink Saturday" above and it will link you to Ms. Beverly's blog.
As you all know I am a painter, I love to paint and though I do not paint every day it is rare for a week to go by that I have not painted something. There isn't much I haven't painted - barns, fields of snow, flowers, beaches, portraits, Santas - you name it and I have probably painted it at one time or another. But I also have another love - it is teacups and dishes. I love my teacups with pink flowers on them. I would like to share with you one of my favorites. This teacup is part of a china pattern called Trinity Rose by Crown Staffordshire. I only have part of the set, four cups and saucer and the salad plates but I use them every year at Christmas. They are beautiful on a white china plate. And my recently painted large lightbulb in pink fits in the cup perfectly. Of course, I did say I love dishes, especially the ones with pink roses on them. This set is only one of about 7 different sets. I collect them even if the set is not a complete one. But I will show them on a different Pink Saturday or perhaps on Tablescape Tuesday. Til then, have a great day, ladies and I will defintely see you again next week.

ReplyDeleteHappy Pink Saturday!
Brenda,
ReplyDeleteYou’re very talented! I’ve always wanted to learn to paint and hopefully one day I will. Actually, I do paint, but it’s usually it with a bucket of Sherwin Williams.
Pink Saturday’s looks like a fun event and your pretty china is perfect. I can imagine how beautiful your Christmas table looks.
Also thank you for your encouraging words for my daughter they mean a lot! I appreciate bloggers like yourself who helped spread the word to find a donor.
Hugs, Cathy

Totally gorgeous teacup. The Santa is beautiful too. I assume that is one of your creations? To think you made that beauty out of a lightbulb...wow. Such a lovely, creative idea.
ReplyDeleteBlessings to you,
