Pink Saturday

Welcome to Pink Saturday. I love vintage teacups and dishes. I have more sets than I can count but that doesn't stop me from bringing home a new one to add to my collection. My hubby is so sweet about it even though we have ran out of space in the china cabinet and the German Shrunk and have now taken over the shelves in our linen closet. I don't always have a complete set - some I have just plates and some just plates and cup/saucer. But when you place them on a nice white china plate with gold trim - they look like they belong together.

This first plate is a 9" luncheon plate made in Bavaria, Germany. It is called Antique Rose and I am fortuante enough to have eight of them.

The next plate is an 8" dessert plate made by Royal Albert and is called American Beauty. Again I have eight of these and a larger cake plate.

I know nothing about these dishes except that I love the designs. They have beautifully scalloped edges and the roses are perfection.

I hope you will visit Miss Beverly at How Sweet the Sound to see what everyone is posting this week - one thing for sure it will be something pretty and pink.

  1. Hi Brenda...we have much in common in that I, too, am always bringing home more china than I could ever need. I can't just leave it there...and like you, I have a wonderful patient, loving husband. He never says a word and even helps me look!
    Your pieces are gorgeous!
    Happy Pink Saturday!

  4. Hi Brenda,
Your rose plates are scrumptious! I confess that I have a weakness for anything with roses too; especally if it's made of china! I think a lot of us need a program! Happy Pink Saturday.

    Blessings,

  10. These are beautiful plates. I love tea sets and collect them. I have no china cabinet and my husband doesn't have any intentions to buy one so they just keep stacking up in my closet!
    Have a wonderful weekend!
