Happy Pink Saturday

Anyone who knows me knows I am not a shopper - I do not enjoy shopping for clothes, shoes, even groceries but I do like the hardware stores and the big home decor stores. I recently went to Old Time Pottery in Alabama and while I was looking through their clearance bin in hopes of finding something to paint on - I came across these desk organizers. They were perfect with their white over ivory crackle finish and the black design. The front has a raised molded area with the word "Pure". I don't get it - what does the word pure mean on this box?

I thought the box was too pretty to pass up so I picked up two with the intention of removing the word "pure" and painting the inside area. Thinking it was much easier than doing it. After sanding, cutting, and even using the heat gun I managed to get a somewhat smooth finish. I decided to do a black background to coordinate with the details on the box and the simple pink rose finished off the project. To protect the rose I used two coats of Triple Thick which equals to about six coats of varnish - it is almost like looking through glass now. I am pleased with the way it turned out - but I am not sure I am willing to go through all that work again to remove the word "pure". Does anyone know what it means, perhaps in another language?
