I don't like long giveaways and had hoped to do the drawing last Saturday. However, I did not know that Blogger was having major issues with members posting comments until I received a lot of emails. I found that if I unchecked my "stay signed in" button I could comment on others postings. If not it sends me back to sign in each time and even after signing in I still could not comment. Frustrating. So, I will give it two more weeks. I apologize for those of you who sent me emails, even if you don't get to comment I will include your name in the giveaway. The new date will be 25 June. Stay tuned, I am adding a few more things today.
I was raised in the South - where football is every breath we breathe, flip flops are year round, we pull over to let a funeral procession pass, we don't have fireflies - we have "lightning bugs", "tatars and maters" are mandatory, "yall" is a proper noun, chicken is fried, biscuits come with gravy, banana pudding is dessert, we drink "sweet milk" and sweet tea is the house wine, and you NEVER, EVER DISRESPECT YOUR ELDERS, especially family, 'course that is Southern raising.

God Bless our Military
It is the Military, not the reporter who has given us the freedom of press.
It is the Military, not the poet, who has given us the freedom of speech.
It is the Military, not the politicians, that ensures our right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
It is the Military who salutes the flag, who serves beneath the flag, and whose coffin is draped by the flag.
What my parents taught me....
Religion - "You better pray that comes out of the carpet!" Logic - "Because I said so, that's why" Irony - "Keep crying and I'll give you something to cry about". Wisdom - "When you get my age you will understand". Justice - "One day you will have kids, I hope they turn out just like you".
'When I stand before God at the end of my life, I would hope that I would have not a singe bit of talent left and could say, "I used everything You gave me." '~ Erma Bombeck
