Happy Pink Saturday

Welcome to Pink Saturday. I have a house filled with pink items but I am finding it more and more difficult to pick something to write about each week. This week I decided to show you a sweet little jewelry box I recently picked up while out thrifting. She was the usual brown color but I fell in love with the cabriole feet. After sanding, priming and several coats of creamy white paint, I painted a little vine of pink rosebuds and tea roses. When you lift the lid you will find several cascading tea roses, and even one on the back. Although I am not a fan of the distressed look I decided to try it this one time - well, I like the way it turned out and will be doing it again - who knew?? As sweet as she is she will be going into my ETSY shop where I hope she finds someone who will love her as much as I do.

If you have followed my blog you know I hate cold weather - I don't hate winter just the cold weather. This week we have had temps in the seventies (we only have about eight weeks of cold weather) and I am a happy camper. If I am lucky my sweet neighbor will come out to play with me - I sit on my swing - she sits in the sun to gather rays (I sit in the shade - the sun wrinkles me) and we chat for hours. I know - I should be in my studio painting but I am on my way out to read and watch the birds. In the meantime, please take a second to visit Ms. Beveraly at How Sweet the Sound and see what our Pink Participants are showcasing this week. Until next time,

I will never run out of pink stuff but the ideas have kind of faded! I almost didn't participate this week but I thought of something at the last minute. I love your jewelry box makeover. 7. I haven't been on any blogs for a few weeks and am catching up today! This jewelry box turned out gorgeous. (I got to see it before you worked it over!) It turned out stunning. The cabriole feet are adorable, but the soft, pretty tea roses you added are what make the box! I have to go check it out on your etsy shop now!
