Happy Pink Saturday

In many places the weather has turned cooler and the leaves are falling - all the showings of a beautiful fall.  But I live in Florida and we usually don't have a fall or really cold weather (when it gets down to the 40's) until January and then it is usually only cold to us for two months.  This week has been much cooler than normal and it has me wanting to paint for Christmas.  I always save my lightbulbs even though I don't use the typical incandescent type much anymore.  And I love pink so I painted this lovely trio in pink with a iridescent top coat.  I free hand the faces so even though they are so similar, no two are identical.  These are one my most favorite ornaments to paint each year.  I sell most of the ones I paint but on occasion I find my husband sneaking one off to give a golfing buddy for his wife.  I don't mind because I know they will love it - and what a sweet thing to bring home to the wife after a hard day golfing!!

I also paint snowmen every year and this year I added several new colors to the line up.  This one is painted on a white crystallized background ornament.  And of course, I added a pink rose head band.  I love doing these cute faces - now I just need to do a few for myself.  Every year I paint a few for my tree but what better gift to give a visitor than an ornament off your tree and these are the ones they usually choose.

I am off to my studio - I have so much to do and only a few more months to get it all done!!

Thanks to Ms. Beverly for hosting Pink Saturday, go on over and check out all the other pink pretties - you are going to love it.
